Thursday is my day for my Nulasta shot - I always go after my chemo treatment - for this - it helps my build my white blood cells faster - it causes joint pain - not the day of the shot - but a few days after - usually I notice it saturday afternoon - sunday.
After the shot I went to pick out some drapes, to keep the warm air inside and cold air out - I hope it works!

Oh, and yay!  I got season 2 of Sons of Anarchy so I know what I will be doing tonight!!!

10/13/2010 - Wednesday

So today is my third chemo treatment - one more AC cocktail  and then on the 27th - I start Taxol, which my doctor says that doesn't make you so fatigued  and less nausea.

I normally sit next to someone and chat throughout my visit - but today I sat in the corner - and found a magazine that on the cover said - foods that prevent breast cancer - hmm...really - I should've read that before huh?!

Well, it seems as though the time gets shorter - well, I thumb thru some books, read a few articles - decide if I want to eat something - because think - I go to NYDOH at say 8:30 - they take my blood, I go back in waiting room - I go see the doctor - talk about how I am doing  - if anything is new - how my blood counts are - up or down - and sometimes talk baseball!  he's a yankee fan - and his team is in it - so....then I go back out to the waiting room - for the nurses to call me in for my treatment -  by the time I leave at noon - I've been there 1/2 the day already.

Time to go home now - eat lunch - and maybe a nap - or laundry - hmm..tough one!

10/10/2010 - Sunday

Today I participated in the "Passionately Pink" in Rensselaer, NY today to make the longest line dance - line.  for a woman who is currently undergoing breast cancer treatment - she I believe is originally from Rensselaer, but had moved to Texas - she is back now, again I am not sure if she is back for good or just for treatment - but it was a nice day and pretty good turnout of support for her - in her home town.  WGNA - Kevin Richards was there with the music - and it was a good time.  The people worked hard on it - it showed.  Maybe next year they will have a greater turn out - its for a great cause.

After the line dance was completed we went to Riverfront park for something to eat - they had vendors, and music - it was little, but was a nice time all around - met alot of nice women - who were survivors of the disease - and I who am just going thru it - found that there is alot of support around.
