Today I had to be at the old Child's hospital for 6am - 1.5 hours before my surgery to get a power port put in. I have to say I don't even remember being wheeled out - LOVED VERSED this time - last time for my surgery I was awake when I got wheeled into the OR - but this time - I don't remember even being pushed out of the pre-op room - next I new I was in recovery - asking the girl, when they were going to start. they let me lay there for about 1/2 hour then my mom came up - and I had a muffin and some tea. I got dressed - I had so much iodine on my face, neck, shoulder - and where the port was put in. Wow! It was sure hard to get off too!
I got home about 10:30 I believe - I had a pbj sandwich then to bed - I was beat - I slept for a few hours - until my son came home from school. My mom stayed that nite -another nite of being sore. She brought Matthew to school. I was very sore. had to sleep on my back - how uncomfortable!
